Santa offers Warm Winter Welcome at Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf offers a warm winter welcome this weekend, as Santa’s arrival on 29 November kicks off the Winter festivities throughout Canary Wharf’s shopping malls.

Father Christmas will be in his grotto in Jubilee Place Mall between 11am-4pm every weekend until Christmas Day. Visitors to the grotto are asked to make a £1 donation to Richard House Children’s Hospice.

In addition, free children’s festive activities throughout the shopping malls on Saturday include face painting, seasonal storytelling and Christmas craft and cooking decorating workshops from 11am – 4pm.

The festivities come just in time for the opening of the Canary Wharf Ice Rink, sponsored by BGC Partners, which is now in place in Canada Square Park. The rink and adjacent Moose Bar offer a beautiful and unique setting to slide amongst the skyscrapers or relax at the rinkside Moose Bar.

Camille Waxer, Vice President Retail, Canary Wharf Group said:

“Canary Wharf offers a diverse and fun-filled day of free entertainment for parents and children alike, each weekend.

“It’s wonderful to see Santa arrive and feel the malls buzz with excitement in the lead-up to Christmas. Santa’s arrival is the one day of the year where children are made to feel most special,“ she said.
