VIBRANT SPORTWEAR OUTLET JOINS CANARY WHARF

Canary Wharf Group today announces that it has exchanged contracts with top activewear chain for women, sweatyBetty, which is to open a 699 sq ft outlet in Cabot Place East.

The concept of sweatyBetty is simple; great activewear for women by women. It offers a mix of hot ski, gym, yoga and swim wear to suit all ages. It also boasts several celebrity customers including Elle McPherson, Emma Bunton, Samantha Janus and Gail Porter.

Top selling brands include the latest Nike and adidas collections as well as more exclusive brands like Fuerteventura and Christy Turlington’s yoga range, Nuala. Its best seller is sweatyBetty’s own designs, which range from terry hotpants and sweatbands to flattering wide leg trousers.

Director of sweatyBetty and Harpers and Queen nominated Entrepreneur of the year, Tamara Hill-Norton said:

‘I am so excited that sweatyBetty is opening in the fantastic retail hub of Canary Wharf. Our ambition is to liberate bankers and journalists to get out of the office and get hot and gorgeous in great gym, yoga, beach and ski-wear!’

sweatyBetty will be opening in mid November in the former Phase Eight outlet in Cabot Place East. Phase Eight has recently re-located to Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf’s new 89,500 sq ft retail mall which opened last month with 100,000 visitors in the first four days.
