| Join the Rugby Bonanza this May Bank Holiday weekend at Canary Wharf. On Friday 28th Canary Wharf is delighted to kick-off a bank holiday weekend packed with rugby-themed events with the Webb Ellis Trophy making a stop at Jubilee Place retail mall between 7.00 – 10.30am. Fans can have photographs taken with the trophy so gloriously won by England in the recent Rugby World Cup. The ‘Sweet Chariot Tour’ bus will remain at Montgomery Square throughout the weekend displaying rugby memorabilia. From Saturday 29th – Monday 31st May the rest of Canary Wharf
will also be going rugby mad with activities throughout the retail malls
as well as the estate: - Fratelli Deli Cafe is offering a 'Scrum-ptious Fratelli Deli packed
lunch' - All ages can test their scrummage skills against a scrum machine. - Fans can practice their Johnny Wilkinson scoring technique with specially adapted kicking nets. - A rugby referee as well as patriotic stilt walkers will mix and mingle through the malls offering the 'best of British' entertainment - this can’t be missed! - Children (and adults!) can go rugby crazy and have their favourite team's flag painted on their face by our professional face painter. - There’s also a chance to win a Griffin cartoon of the England team every day entitled ‘England’s Pride' and there will be lots of free giveaways up for grabs. - Rugby merchandise will be available for purchase from Waitrose Food & Home. - Various bars around the estate will be showing the England versus The Barbarians match on Saturday 29th. |
