Canary Wharf Group today announces that it has exchanged contracts with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. (NYSE:KKD) , which is to open an outlet in Canada Place, one of Canary Wharf’s three retail malls.

Already a huge success in the US, Canada and Australia , Krispy Kreme first launched in the UK in Harrods last October and has proved phenomenally successful.

Apparently loved by a host of celebrities including Madonna and Elton John, Krispy Kreme offers 15 different flavours, from its signature Original Glazed to chocolate iced and cinnamon apple filled.

Camille Waxer, VP of Retail, Canary Wharf Group said:

‘This is a hugely popular signing and I am delighted Krispy Kreme is joining us. Many of our tenants are known to send cabs to Harrods to pick up assortment boxes so I am very pleased we will now be able to save them the cab fare!’

Krispy Kreme is opening in July in Canada Place along the Jubilee Line link.
