Canary Wharf Group today announces that it has exchanged contracts with quality pie maker, Square Pie Limited, which is to open a 515 sq ft outlet in Canada Place, one of Canary Wharf’s three retail malls.

Square Pie was set up in 2001 and currently has outlets in Selfridges Food Hall and Spitalfields Market. It prides itself on using the finest hand diced British Meat and fresh vegetables which contain no artificial colourings, flavourings, preservatives or hydrogenated fats.

Following the East End tradition the pies are mainly served with mash, (made freshly in store) fresh peas, gravy and liquor. Time Out has described them as ‘A British Classic’.

The gourmet pies range from traditional favourites like Steak & Kidney and
Chicken & Mushroom to more adventurous flavours including Jerk Chicken with Sweet Potato and Wild Mushroom & Asparagus. It will also offer unbaked pies for people to take home.

Square Pie is due to open at the end of June.
