CANARY WHARF HONOURS CHANUKAH

A beautiful Menorah will be displayed in Canada Square Park for the fifth successive year. The Menorah is a celebration of the Jewish festival of Chanukah, also known as the festival of lights. The first light of the Menorah will be lit on Friday 19th December.

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, in which Canary Wharf is based, is one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse boroughs in the country, so it is fitting that Canary Wharf has been able to mark Chanukah in this way.

For more than three years, regular afternoon minyanim have been held from Monday to Thursday to further cater for the Jewish community of Canary Wharf.

For the second time a Sukkah was erected, this year in Montgomery Square, for use by tenants, employees and visitors.
