One Churchill Place, a one million sq ft building completed last year at Canary Wharf and now occupied by Barclays, has won a silver award from the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The award was presented to Tony Shaughnessy, Logistics Manager for Canary Wharf Contractors (BP1) Ltd (CWCL). The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national initiative designed to improve the image of construction through better management and presentation of its sites. It aims to raise the standards of construction design and management above statutory requirements. Constructors must commit to an eight point Code of Practice that includes: ? Being considerate to all those affected by the construction process All participating sites were monitored to assess adherence to the code of good practice.
