CANARY WHARF PRESS RELEASE

2nd February 2005
CANARY WHARF'S SANTA JUST KEEPS ON GIVING!
Just when you thought Christmas was over for another year, a local charity is still benefiting from the proceeds of Santa's Winter Cabin in Jubilee Place, Canary Wharf. Richard House Children's Hospice, a registered charity which offers palliative care and respite to children with life limiting conditions, as well as support for their families, has been presented with £1,120.

Santa has been a regular visitor to Canary Wharf for eight years but this was by far the most successful. During weekends in the build up to Christmas each child paid £1 admission fee for the opportunity to meet Santa. The Winter Cabin was an initiative organised by Canary Wharf shops and restaurants.

Bridget Gardiner, Director of Fundraising & Marketing for Richard House Children's Hospice, said, "Once again, Canary Wharf Group has come up trumps at Christmas and its Grotto has raised a fantastic sum. It's lovely to think of the children visiting Canary Wharf and enjoying meeting Santa and at the same time helping other children who are being cared for at Richard House."
