As the extent of the Tsunami disaster continues to unfold, the need for extended international aid to help those affected becomes ever more apparent. Hundreds of thousands find themselves without homes, families have been decimated, and basic facilities such as clean drinking water must be revived urgently to prevent further deaths through the spread of disease.
Local MP’s Oona King & Jim Fitzpatrick alongside Canary Wharf Group will join forces with Higher Status Events and other concerned partners to create a Gala Dinner at Canary Wharf’s East Wintergarden on Thursday March 3rd; from which all proceeds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee. We are delighted to announce that the guest speaker will be the Secretary of State for International Development, the Rt. Hon Hilary Benn MP. A full programme of entertainment will blend the cream of comedy and musical talent, with catchy cabaret and charismatic illusionists performing sophisticated sleight-of-hand at your table. The night promises to create an electric atmosphere of unity and goodwill The East Wintergarden is one of London’s most spectacular new event venues and as exclusive caterers, The Chelsea Catering Company will provide a Champagne reception and sumptuous three-course dinner.
